I have two separate skincare routines for morning and evening. These are my skincare musts. My skin is very dry and it can be sensitive sometimes. I have blemishes more often when I have an increase in hormones. In order to combat against the likelihood of me having ver unpleasant skin, I have narrowed it down to a very simplified version to eliminate irritation.
Morning Skincare Routine:
Step #1 In the morning I wake up and have a shower, while in the shower at the end I wash my face with Fresh Soy Facial Cleanser using the Sephora Collection Precision Pore Cleaning Pad. The pad allows for very gentle exfoliation without causing any skin abrasions.
Step #2 Once I’m out of the shower I use Neutrogena Alcohol-Free Toner on any generic brand cotton pad. It is gentle enough to use twice a day and helps remove any makeup I may have missed.
Step #3 I then apply Josie Maran 100 Percent Pure Argan Oil Light liberally to my face. I am very dry, so adding oil is not a frightening idea for me. However, oily skin can occur if I use the original during the day.
Step #4 I then use Laneige Water Bank Moisture Cream. It has an odour I am not fond of. Honestly, it smells like something my grandma would use, but it works very well.
Evening Skincare Routine:
Step #1 At night I dampen a cotton pad and wet my face, then use the same steps for cleanser and toner. More time is added to washing my face if I wore makeup that day. To be more thorough.
Step #2 After I apply Josie Maran 100 Pure Argan Oil, the original. It is more intense and concentrated so my face soaks in the moisture while I sleep.
Step #3 I use First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream. It is far too heavy for the day. The thick cream can be used all over the body and is great for scaly patches in the winter.
On rare occasions I use face masks, should be more often, they can be quite expensive. My favourite is the Glamglow ThirstyMud Hydrating Treatment. It is quite expensive so I only use it on rare occasions and use it overnight to get the full effect.
